Season 78 Line-Up!

The White Rock Players’ Club is proud to share details of our upcoming season of four plays and a pantomime.

 

With a supernatural start, we are launching Season 78 with the classic Noel Coward play, Blithe Spirit. The ghost of a dead wife, seances, mediums, and hilarity ensue! 

Blithe Spirit runs Sept 21 - Oct 8, 2023

 

Continuing in our pantomime tradition, we are bringing back Snow White with her dwarf friends, Prince Charming, the lovely Fairy, a Magic Mirror, all of course battling the evil forces. Songs, and dances, and audience participation in traditional panto style. (If we have to explain more, well you should just come and see for yourself!)

Our February show comes from the beloved novel Pride & Prejudice, deftly adapted for the stage by contemporary playwright Kate Hamill. Be assured, this whirlwind retelling of Elizabeth Bennet & Mr. Darcy is sure to entertain and delight. 

Pride & Prejudice runs Feb 15 - Mar 3, 2024

 

On a more serious tone, we are happy to present Proof by playwright David Auburn. An award-winning play about family relationships, illness, control, and…mathematics! (2001 - Pulitzer prize for Drama & Tony Award for Best Play). Proof runs Apr 15 - May 5, 2024

 

Our season closes with Chapter Two, a comedy-drama from Neil Simon. This semi-autobiographical play delves into the complexities of past loves coming to haunt the present. Chapter Two runs Jun 13-30, 2024
