White Rock Players Club is proud to be hosting 2 of the main shows from the South Rock Comedy Festival which is taking place in 6 venues throughout South Surrey and White Rock from September 19-21. Over 50 comedians will be coming to the region including some of Canada's best comedians that will be performing at our theatre:
​Friday, September 20 @ 7pm:

Friday features headliner Charlie Demers, a dynamic Canadian comedian and writer with credits including CBC's The Debaters, WTF with Marc Maron, CTV Comedy and his Juno-nominated album Fatherland. He has performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and major events like Just For Laughs in Vancouver and Montreal. Charlie will be joined on stage by Seattle's Kermet Apio (Dry Bar Comedy), Scarlet Chen (Burbank Comedy Festival), the to be determined winner of the South Rock Comedy Festival's PNW LOL Competition and host Ty Boissonnault (JFL Vancouver).
Saturday, September 21 @ 7pm:
Calgary's Dave Nystrom will be headlining. Nystrom is a highly acclaimed comedian who has toured the UK, performed at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival, and filmed specials for Comedy Central and CTV Comedy. A writer for CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes, he won awards and has worked with stars like Robin Williams and Dane Cook. He also wrote for National Lampoon and starred in pilots for VH1 and CBC. Dave will be joined by host Alex Carr (Sonic Radio 104.9FM morning show DJ), Chris Gaskin (Sirius XM Radio), Kwasi Thomas (Yuk Yuk's) as well as Langley-based comedians Jessica Pigeau and Rosie Grypma.
